Recently the management team of PharmaTimes paid a courtesy visit to eminent professor of Biology and Zoology, and currently the Pro-Chancellor of Michael Okpara University of Agriculture – Abia State, Prof. Anya O. Anya. The courtesy call which was a part of PharmaTimes itinerary as the monthly pharmaceutical/health publication marked its third anniversary, also afforded the erudite professor the opportunity to air his opinion on a few national issues bothering on science education and intellectual development.
Prof. Anya noted with regrets that the Nigerian nation over the years has not really given adequate encouragement to people who are inclined to activities of such nature.
He therefore heartily congratulated the Publisher of PharmaTimes and his Editorial Team for the initiative to venture into, and carry on with their endeavours in pharmaceutical production as well as print journalism. He deeply expressed his elatedness that the publisher, Pharm. Chris Ukah decided to undertake the course of delving into the scientific and intellectual spheres, while at the same time promising to do all that is within his powers to encourage the organisation in its activities.
On his part, the Chairman and Editorial Board of PharmaTimes, Pharm. Victor Amuta urged Professor Anya who just turned 80 to make out time to contribute a part of his intellectual resources towards the monthly health publication, to which he gladly obliged.
