Dean Laments Drug Abuse across Nigeria

The Dean Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Nigeria, Nsukka, (UNN), Professor Emmanuel Ibezim has decried the high rate of counterfeit and unwholesome drug abuse in the country, saying it was high time pharmacists asserted their professional relevance by curbing the menace. Ibezim spoke at the opening ceremony of the 40th National Convention of the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigeria Students, PANS, held at the Nsukka Campus of the university. Pharmacists Want Injustice In Sector Addressed

The Nigerian Association of Hospital and Administrative Pharmacists, has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to address the injustice in the health sector. Need to Have 42,500 Physiotherapists in Nigeria – Experts

The Nigeria Society of Physiotherapists (NSP) has revealed that the nation’s healthcare system is surviving with just 1,000 physiotherapists. Idumota Drug Market will cease to exist – PCN Registrar

The registrar, Pharmacists Council of Nigeria, Pharm. N. A. E. Mohammed, has said Idumota, the famous and one of the biggest drug markets in Nigeria would cease to exist in a short while. Dr. Paul Orhii, the National Agency for Drugs Administration and Control Director General has emphasised the importance of roots and herbs in curative medical health delivery.
