The Nigerian Association of Pharmacists in Academia (NAPA) held its 2nd Annual one day Scientific Symposium at the University of Lagos, Akoka as part of the Pharmacy Week which held in Lagos recently. Tagged “Pharmacy Education & Research: A Key to Good Pharmacy Practice”, Pharm. Lere Baale CEO, Business School Netherlands, took the key note address which addressed certain issues pertaining the link between the Pharmacists in Academia and the Pharmacists in practice. He said that Pharmacy Lecturers could also be involved in Community Pharmacy, but added a clause: “I did not really mean that lecturers should go and register pharmacy shops, What I meant is that as a pharmacist you should practice but NAFDAC should make a special prerequisite before they give you your annual registration

Idumota Drug Market will cease to exist – PCN Registrar

The registrar, Pharmacists Council of Nigeria, Pharm. N. A. E. Mohammed, has said Idumota, the famous and one of the biggest drug markets in Nigeria would cease to exist in a short while. Though, some premises in Lagos, Ogun and Osun States have recently been shut down due to illegal and un-healthy pharmaceutical practices. Pharm. N. A. E.
