The World Health Organisation has said it is not recommended for children from zero to five years to wear face mask, as it can interfere with their psychosocial development. In a video posted on WHO Africa Region’s Twitter handle @WHOAFRO, the Technical Lead for WHO African Region, Dr. Landry Kabego, said there are specific recommendations for children because this category of individuals has certain specific features. Final clinical trials for a coronavirus vaccine, developed by AstraZeneca and Oxford University, have been put on hold after a participant had a suspected adverse reaction in the UK.
